News Brief: SAITSA awards best and brightest

Giving back to the student community can be rewarding, in more ways than one. The SAITSA Awards recognize students and staff who have shown considerable involvement in the Students’ Association and student life.
There are 10 award categories totalling 28 awards, with cash prizes up to $750 for the successful candidates.
There are awards for student councillors, volunteers with SAITSA, and even an Instructor Excellence Award for an exceptional instructor from each of the nine schools at SAIT.
Students can apply themselves or be nominated by another student. Instructors must be nominated by a student.
The nomination and application deadline is Feb. 12. More information about the specific awards and application forms can be found online at saitsa.com or by stopping by the SAITSA office V204 in the campus centre.
The winners in each category will be presented awards at the annual SAITSA banquet in April.
