Born and raised in Calgary, Kelly Strachan is a first-year student attending the legal assistant program at SAIT.
“SAIT was highly recommended by many law firms,” said Strachan who decided to take a two-year course to make sure she liked law before diving into seven years of schooling.
Along with her program, Strachan pitches for the SAIT Trojans fastball team and is ranked fourth in, the Alberta Women’s Fastball Association.
Due to her many strikeouts, she has been given the nickname the “Strachinater.”
Describing herself as “funny and sociable,” Strachan is also an aunt, and says the birth of her niece is one of her greatest memories.
When she is not on the mound, Strachan enjoys spending time with friends and family.
You might also find this fourth-ranked pitcher jamming to Garth Brooks or watching any movie with Jake Gyllenhaal, in particular The Day After Tomorrow.
